Summer Signing Series 

The Rush are proud to announce the resigning of 98' defenseman Kyle Prestis and 99' forward Micah Amox. Kyle skated in 41 games for the Rush USP3 team last season registering 9 points. Kyle has tremendous skating ability and leadership qualities. We fully expect Kyle to come into training camp and compete for a spot on the Premier team next season. Micah Amox played 23 games with 2 goals and 7 assists for 9 points. Micah has spent the summer here in Charlotte and dedicated himself to the offseason program, we are extremely excited to see what he is able to do in year two with the Rush.

Summer Signing Series Part II

Rush Return USPHL Defensive Player Of The Year Joe Palermo and add brothers Shane and Josh Hemmer.  The Charlotte Rush are proud to announce the return of veteran defenseman Joe Palermo.  Palermo helped lead the Rush to a Championship last season collecting 40 points in 29 regular season games, also adding 14 points in 11 post season games.  "Joe was the most versatile defenseman in the league last season.  He can play in all situations and has the ability to put up tremendous points while also playing with an edge.  To return the defensive player of the year is a coaches dream.  We are expecting another big season from Joe as he leads our blue line."- GM Ryan Cruthers
 
Chicago natives Josh and Shane Hemmer have also signed with the Rush.  Both come to us from the prestigious Notre Dame College Prep in Chicago where former Rush Captain Nick Yzaguirre (NJ Titans) played. Josh is a fast creative forward who will bring a ton of offensive punch to our forward group next season. He will be a dynamic player on special teams and finds ways to contribute each and every game. Shane is the younger brother of Josh, Shane brings speed, skill and creativity to the front end.  "We are excited to see these two very skilled offensive players in Rush jerseys next season.  Both Shane and Josh have the ability to put up a tremendous amount of points.  We expect their style of play to translate well within our system and at the Junior level."- GM Ryan Cruthers
Rush Return three from last years Semi Final USP3HL team. Forwards Julian Miranda, John Barrett and Mark Kishko will all be wearing the red and white again next season.  99' forward Julian Miranda played 42 games with 11 goals, 21 assists for 32points. We look for Julian to come back and build on a tremendous first season of junior hockey.  "Julian had a great first year with us as he is a player that can score while also playing physical.  He had a taste of the Elite level last year and I know he is motivated to stay at that level.  It is going to be great to see how he developed over the summer and how he competes in camp."- GM Ryan Cruthers 99'.  Forward Johnny Barret played 42 games with 11 goals, 12 assists for 23 points with the Rush USP3 team and in one game with the Rush Elite team he had 1 goal and 2 assists for 3 points.  "Johnny is a tireless competitor and only gets better as the season progresses. He has had a very successful summer training with our staff.  He will be looked upon to be a leader in the room." - GM Ryan Cruthers. 98' forward Mark Kishko played 41 games with 23 goals, 38 assists for 61 points with the USP3 team last season. "We are happy to have Mark back and are excited to see what he can do in year three with the Rush program.  Mark brings size, skill and a heavy shot.  We hope he can build on a spectacular second season and advance to a higher level." - GM Ryan Cruthers

Max Mulhall
 
The Rush are proud to announce the re-signing of 98' forward Max Mulhall from Charlotte, NC.  Max is coming off his first junior season where he produced 11 points in 27 games with the Rush and was an integral part of our Championship team.  "Max battled a few injuries last season and was a huge part of our success down the stretch.  He is a tremendous penalty kill guy and net front forward on the power play, while being a very effective energy guy at even strength.  We expect a big season from Max this year." - Ryan Cruthers
 
Lunden Strickler
 
The Charlotte Rush are happy to announce the re-signing of 00' forward Lunden Strickler from Wernersville, PA. Last season Lunden played in 25 games with the Rush USP3 team and chipped in 2 goals and 3 assists for 5 points.  "Lunden gained a ton of valuable experience last year in his first season of junior hockey.  He works extremely hard each day and we are excited to see what improvements he made in the off season.  We are expected him to build off of last year." - Ryan Cruthers
 
Connor Tuttle
 
The Rush are very pleased to announce the re-signing of 98' defenseman Connor Tuttle from Queensbury, NY.  Connor was an anchor on our blue line last season with our Championship team putting up 16 points and 47 pims. "Connor is a huge part of who we are as a program and team.  He has helped build this program from day one and knows exactly what we expect from our players.  It was fitting that he scored the Championship clinching goal last season.  He is a steady presence on our blue line that is very responsible and moves pucks well.    We expect him to play in all situations this season and prepare for the next level." - Ryan Cruthers
 
Anthony Keating
 
The Charlotte Rush are proud to announce the re-signing of 00' goaltender Anthony Keating. Anthony is coming off his first season of junior hockey and looks to build on a strong first campaign which saw him play in 21 games with a 2.32 GAA and a .903 SVS%.  "Anthony is coming off a very impressive first year of junior hockey.  I know he dedicated his summer to improving while working with an excellent goalie coach in Bobby Goepfert.  We are expecting Anthony to compete for the top spot in our very competitive crease." - Ryan Cruthers
 
TJ Defeo
 
The Rush are very pleased to announce the re-signing of 99' goaltender TJ Defeo from Charlotte, NC. TJ is looking to build on a decent first season of junior hockey where he started in 5 games going undefeated and posting a 0.67 GAA with a .964 SVS%.  "TJ had a good first taste of junior hockey last season.  His numbers and record speak for themselves.  I know he wants more time in the crease this season and has been working all summer to gain that time." - Ryan Cruthers
 
Gustav Bohman
 
The Rush are excited to announce the re-signing of 97' defenseman Gustav Bohman from Norrkoping, SWE. Gustav was stable on the blue line for our Championship team last season and an integral part of a strong defensive group.  "Gustav is a big, strong skating defensemen that we are excited to have back.  He is a fierce competitor that battles everyday and has the ability to contribute offensively while being a strong leader inside of our locker room.  We are excited to go through the college commitment process with him as he is already getting many looks from NCAA DIII programs." - Ryan Cruthers

Nick Godfrey

The Charlotte Rush are proud to announce the signing of 98' forward Nick Godfrey from Cedar Run, NJ. Nick comes to the Rush having split the season between the New Jersey Avalanche 18U where he posted 4 goals and 6 assists for 10 points in 27 games and the New Jersey Hitmen 18U where he compiled 6 points in 5 games.  "Nick is a skilled forward that always seems to be around the puck.  We are excited to have him and Charlotte and will look to increase his production this season." - Ryan Cruthers  

Brendan McCormack

The Charlotte Rush would like to welcome 98' forward Brendan McCormack from Nutley, NJ. Brendan spent last season with the Boston Jr. Rangers where he had 8 goals 13 assists for 21 points in 21 games played.  "Brendan is a strong and powerful forward that we are expecting a big season from.  We believe he will flourish in our environment between power skating, mini rink and our training schedule.  What separates Brendan from many other is he has size and skill, his skill and grit will be relied upon heavily." - Ryan Cruthers  

Thomas McGuire

The Rush are proud to announce the signing of 99' defenseman Thomas McGuire from Massapequa Park, NY. Thomas comes to the Rush from the PAL Junior Islanders where he compiled 4 goals and 8 assists for 12 points in 42 games played.  "Thomas adds junior experience to our blue line.  He is a big puck moving defensemen that can play in all situations.  We are very excited to help him develop in Charlotte this season." - Ryan Cruthers   
 
Blake Bennett
 
We are proud to announce the signing of 98' forward Blake Bennett from Grand Island, NY. Blake comes to us having split time with the Buffalo Regals of the GOJHL where he posted 9 points in 20 games played and the Lockport Express of the NA3HL where he posted 67 points in 31 games played.  "Blake is a natural point producer that we expect to show up on the score sheet each game.  We can expect him to make others around him better while also finding the back of the net." - Ryan Cruthers  
 
Bennett Weycker

The Charlotte Rush are proud to announce the signing of 97' forward Bennett Weycker from Appleton, WI. Bennett comes to us from the Texas Jr. Brahmas where he posted 11 goals and 15 assists for 26 points in 43 contests. He also skated in 2 NAHL games with the Amarillo Bulls.  "Bennett is another multi dimensional player in our lineup this season.  He has size and skill that will make him a dangerous player this season.  We are expecting him that add a veteran presence to our locker room while helping him get committed to college." - Ryan Cruthers  
 
Jestin Somero

The Rush are extremely pleased to announce the signing of 98' forward Jestin Somero from New Ipswich, NH. Jestin comes to us having split time with the Northern Cyclones 18U where he compiled 37 points in 37 games played and with the Northern Cyclones EHL Premier where he gathered 14 points in 10 games played.  "Jestin is a skilled forward that has produced numbers in his short stint at the Premier level.  We are expecting him to be a dynamic forward that puts up points for us." - Ryan Cruthers

Ryan Newman

The Charlotte Rush are proud to announce the addition of 99' defenseman Ryan Newman from Bakersfield, CA.  Ryan spent last season split between the Northeast Generals of the NA3HL, North Iowa Bulls NA3HL and Binghampton Jr Senators NA3HL where combined he totaled 14 points in 30 games.  "Ryan is a strong skating defensemen that can move pucks.  He has the ability to play in all situations and we are excited to see how his play translates to the USPHL." - Ryan Cruthers

Anthony Yurkins

The Charlotte Rush would like to welcome 98' forward Anthony Yurkins from Staten Island, NY. Anthony comes to us from the New Jersey Hitmen18U where he had 3 goals, 5 assists for 8 points in 22 games.  "Anthony is a coaches dream in the way he approaches the game.  He works extremely hard in all three zones and I believe he will put up points for us this season." - Ryan Cruthers
 
Max Lewicki

The Charlotte Rush are very proud to announce the addition of 98' defenseman Max Lewicki from West Caldwell, NJ. Max spent last season with the New Jersey Junior Titans where he skated in 32 games with 2 goals, 10 assists for 12 points. He also skated in one NAHL game with the New Jersey Titans. "Max will bolster our blue line with physicality.  Along with his physicality he brings a heavy shot and powerful stride.  We are looking forward to working with him to prepare him for the next level." - Ryan Cruthers  

James O'Kane

The Rush are proud to announce the signing of 99' forward James O'Kane from Chicago, IL. James spent the past three seasons with the prestigious Notre Dame College Preparatory School.  "Jimmy is a dynamic forward that has the ability to put up points at this level.  He has produced at every level he has played at and has an unmatched work ethic.  We are excited to help him develop and introduce him to the junior level." - Ryan Cruthers

Dakota Davis

The Charlotte Rush are proud to announce the addition of 97' forward Dakota Davis from Franklin, TN. Dakota spent last season with the Texas Jr. Brahmas in the NA3HL where he compiled 16 goals, 7 assists for 23 points in 44 games.  "Dakota is a complete player that we are excited to help through the college process.  We expect him to be a veteran presence within our organization, while helping us compete to be a top team in the USPHL again." - Ryan Cruthers


Christian Roble

The Charlotte Rush are proud to announce the signing of 99' forward Christian Roble from Edina, MN. Christian comes to us having split time with the Minnesota Blades 18U where he posted 8 points in 21 games and Edina High School where he had 2 points in 22 games played.  "Christian is a very offensively gifted player that plays hard at both ends of the rink.  We believe he has the ability to be a top performer in the USPHL as he adjusts to the junior level." - Ryan Cruthers

Robbie Eichelberger

We are pleased to announce the signing of 98' forward Robbie Eichelberger from Tampa, FL.  Robbie comes to us having spent last season with the Tampa Scorpions 18U AAA.  "Robbie has a good skill set and is a strong skater with good offensive upside that we expect to translate well at this level.  We are excited to help him develop at the junior level" - Ryan Cruthers
 
Jackson Ross

The Rush are happy to announce the resigning of 99' forward Jackson Ross. Jackson played 24 games with 2 goals, 4 assists for 6 points.  "Jackson brings speed, skill, creativity and physicality to our lineup and was one of the best players during our playoff run last season at the USP3 level. We are very happy to have him back and cant wait to see what he brings us in year two." - Ryan Cruthers

Tate Stansbury

We are proud to announce the resigning of 98' forward Tate Stansbury. Last season Tate skated in 32 games with 10 goals and 4 assists for 14 points.  "Tate really began to adjust to the junior level last season.  He has a very good shot to go along with his size and a great attitude and work ethic.  We are very excited to have him back this season." - Ryan Cruthers
 
Chris Dunne
 
The Rush are proud to announce the return of 98' forward Chris Dunne from Ft. Myers, FL.  Chris had a great season on our USP3 team last season and was a major contributor with 47 points in 40 games played. "Dunne is a complete player that can score, hit, block shots and play in all situations.  It was a big step he made playing junior hockey last season.  We are excited to see him compete in camp and continue to improve." - Ryan Cruthers

The Rush are proud to announce the resigning of 99' defenseman Joey Ferro. "Joey had a great first season of junior hockey with us last season and has been working hard all offseason to be better. Chandler Judd
 
The Charlotte Rush are proud to announce the re-signing of 98' power forward Chandler Judd from Greenville, SC.  Last season he had 39 points in 44 games. "Chandler was a major part of our USP3 team the last two seasons.  He can play on the power play and the penalty kill, he does all the little things and blocks every shot he can.  We look forward to having him back and working to earn a spot on our premier team this season."- Ryan Cruthers
 
Carter Gallo
 
The Rush are proud to announce the return 98' forward Carter Gallo from North Richland Hills, TX. Carter is looking to build on a solid first season of junior hockey where he posted 4 goals, 4 assists for 8 points in 27 games played.  "Carter worked extremely hard last season as he got his first taste of junior hockey.  He plays with grit and a competitive edge that makes him a very effective player.  We are expecting a stronger year two." - Ryan Cruthers
 
Grant Gallo
 
The Charlotte Rush are proud to announce the re-signing of 97' defenseman Grant Gallo from Fort Worth, TX. Grant has been a mainstay in the Rush program since day one when the program was founded. "Grant will be looked on to provide leadership and help solidify an already deep back end this season.  Grant dedicated his summer to improving as he looks to play NCAA hockey following this season.  Grant uses his size and stick very effectively while closing the gap on forwards.  We expect a very strong season from him."- Ryan Cruthers

Antonio Demacopoulos
The Rush are proud to announce the addition of 98' forward Antonio Demacopoulos from Hickory Hills, IL.  Antonio spent last season with the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings in the USPHL Elite division where he compiled 30 points in 42 games.  "Antonio is a player we got to see compete against our Championship team three times last year. He is a complete player that will add a ton to our offensive lineup.  We expect him to be an impact guy for us as well as a veteran presence having played in the league already." - Ryan Cruthers
 
Adam Meister
The Charlotte Rush are proud to announce the signing of 98' forward Adam Meister from Cincinnati, OH.  Adam spent last season with the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings where he totaled 6 points in 22 contests and was a teammate of recent Rush addition Antonio Demacopoulos.  "Adam is another responsible two way forward with a ton of upside.  Adam came to our tryouts and stood out as a guy that we desperately needed after loosing the likes of Kleckner, Doherty, Williamson and Selan.  We are excited to see what he brings to Charlotte." - Ryan Cruthers

 

Logan Falkingham
The Rush are proud to announce the signing of 98' defenseman Logan Falkingham from Canfield, OH. Logan spent last season with the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 18U where he totaled 10 points in 19 games played.  "Logan is a solid defenseman that we feel we will be able to trust all over the ice.  We believe he will flourish in our training environment while we are excited to see him in a Rush uniform this season." - Ryan Cruthers 
 
Nikita Morozov
The Charlotte Rush are proud to announce the signing of 99' defenseman Nikita Morozov from Yekaterinburg, RUS. Nikita comes to us from the prestigious Culver Academy in Culver, IN.  "Nikita is a strong and powerful defenseman that is coming into his first year of junior hockey.  He is a tireless worker that has a ton of raw talent.  We are excited to help him transition into junior hockey and develop." - Ryan Cruthers
 
Stephen Guadalajara
We are extremely proud to announce the signing of 00' Defenseman Stephen Guadalajara.  Stephen comes to us from the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies in Michigan and also skated with Honeybaked spring program. "Stephen is an exceptional skater, phenomenal puck mover and will be a huge contributor for us next season. We are very happy to have a player of his caliber on board for 2017-18." - Ryan Cruthers
 
Jake Werner
The Rush are proud to announce the signing of Charlotte local Jake Werner.  Jake played last season for the Charlotte Jr. Checkers U18 AA. "We are very excited to have Jake on board, he will be a great addition to our back end.  Jake brings a heavy shot and tremendous work ethic.  We are excited to have a local product apart of our program." - Ryan Cruthers 
 
Davis Smidt
We are proud to announce the signing of 00' defenseman Davis Smidt. Davis comes to us from the Nashville Jr. Predators U16 AA. "Davis is a great skating, playmaking defenseman with a strong and accurate shot from the point. He plays a smooth game and is very physical when needed. He will be a very good defenseman at this level and we are very excited to have him with us this season to develop." - Ryan Cruthers

We are excited to announce the signing of forward Joe Arnold. Joe comes to us from Cherry Creek High School where he had 8 points in 19 games. "Joe brings size and skill to our group of forwards and we expect him to have a great first year with us. Charles Brindel
The Rush are proud to announce the signing of 99' forward Charles Brindel. Charles comes to us from South Carolina where he played for Greenville South High School. "We are very happy to have Charles on board this season and we believe his development has come a long way and it will continue to get better this season. Blake Blevins
We are happy to announce the signing of 01' forward Blake Blevins.  Blake comes to us from Team Maryland U15 AAA. "Blake has tremendous offensive upside for his age, his compete level is very high while carrying a strong shot and seeing the ice extremely well. The Charlotte Rush are proud to announce the re-signing of 97' Championship Defenseman Eric Hirschhaut. Last season Eric helped anchor our strong defensive unit to a Championship when he was acquired from the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings.  Eric posted 2 points in 11 regular season games and 1 point in 8 playoff games.  "Eric is a big strong defenseman that was a huge part of our success last season. Eric is a very good skater that gets to pucks quick and makes a very good first pass, on top of that he has a very good shot.  Eric fit in our locker room right away and will be a huge piece to what we do on and off the ice.  We are very happy to see him back on our team."  Ryan Cruthers, GM
